Textured Marker Brush V. 2 by bananapanik Textured Marker Brush V. 2 by bananapanik
Okay, so here is an updated/adjusted version of my previous marker brush. [link]

Basically, it's softer, and I messed with the saturation and color purity, as well as the texture scaling and depth. You could probably do it yourself on the old one, but thought I'd post this, as I have both presets saved.

EDIT: EITHER USE V3 OR CHECK THE COMMENTS; ONE OF THE POSTERS MADE THE TEXTURE SEAMLESS, SO REPLACE WITH THAT ONE.

I think it'd be easier if you edited your description to contain the link one of the posters left instead of making people look through all 79 comments. Just thought it might help. Maybe I'm slow but I didn't see it.

So will this only work in photo shop or can it adapt to other programs like it?

How do i use this?

i clicked the 'download' button, but couldn't figure out how to use it in Photoshop. i went to the preset manager and tried to load the file in the brushes menu but when i tried to load it, it said "file not found please verify that the correct file name was given."

What do i do?

uhm...well...I'm not really sure >< It should work as long as you are selecting the correct file (.abr). What version of PS are you trying to use? This will only work for CS and above, I think.

i have CS4.

When i click the download button, do i select "Open" or "Save"?

can you do a walkthrough on how to do this? i'm not too great with computers.

You should click "save". Then when you open up photoshop, you need to go to your preset manager (I think it's under the Edit menu...) and click "load". Then, select the file, wherever you have it saved on your computer and then just click okay. Then, you select the brush tool and this brush, and you're good to go.

Thank you for making this!

As for Copics being expensive - I bought an alternative kind called Touch Markers. They're not as good, but they do the job, in case you're interested!

I'll credit you when I use this :)

Love, love, LOVE this brush~! I used it to practice here: [link]
But I'm curious, I love the way it looks on this page of mine, and I've always wanted to try publishing some pages on color, however wasn't sure if we could use this brush for published works or say I wanted to use it to color in an art piece I wanted to sell as a print?

As I told somebody else, if you want to sell/publish/use/whatever my brush for this, all I need is credit. Like, a link or a mention of where the brush came from. That's all :)

Click the 'download' button on the left hand column, and then in photoshop go to the ';preset manager' and load the file in the 'brushes' menu. :)

Thanks :) I tried to get it close to the real thing. I know it's pretty much impossible to get it perfect, but I'm happy with the results thus far.

Looking forward to seeing any more works done with the brush!
